FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions...
And answers!

Can I Bring my dog?
Sorry, none of our rooms are pet friendly.

Can I bring the family?
We have 2 rooms with extra long twin beds, perfect for the kids with nearby queen rooms for the parents,
although no rooms connect with each other.
Well-behaved and well-supervised children are welcome.
The INN caters to adults, having intimate lounges, and sitting areas throughout the property,
an amazing wine menu and creative cocktail list. Our restaurant does not have a children's menu.
FYI, we do not have a playground or any area suitable to play. Our inn is filled with antiques, mounts,
and other one-of-a-kind and hard to replace items of décor.

What time is check-in/check-out?
Check in is between 4:00pm - 8:00pm and check out is at 11:00am.
We offer early check-in and late check-out for an additional fee. Both are 1:00pm.
Late check-in can be arranged with contactless check-in.

Is there a TV in my room?
Sorry, all rooms are without a TV, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, or kitchen. We have a lounge
with an 85" HDTV with most every channel, Roku, Netflix, Hulu, and Prime TV. Please plan ahead items
needing refrigeration.

Is there a hair dryer in my room?
Yes!

Do you offer housekeeping in my room during my stay?
Yes, however you must request this service at check-in or at breakfast.

When is the restaurant open?

Our restaurant is open Thursday-most Sundays, we have a calendar here,
we do close for private functions, weddings, and events. Hotel guests aren't
guaranteed a reservation, so make a reservation as soon as you know!

What time does the bar open & close?
5pm and 9pm respectively. Our bar is associated with our restaurant, we aren't the late bar some may be used to.

Do you have parking?
Yes! We boast the largest parking lot of any inn in Montgomery (if that's something to brag about)
And it's free!

Do you have WIFI?
Yes! We have plenty (is that a proper measurement of WIFI?)
Our signal reaches from your room, to our lounge, to the restaurant, outside around the grounds, even at the river.

I'm hiking the Long Trail, will you pick us up?
We offer pick up and drop off service for Belvidere Pond,
Hazen Notch, Jay, and True North Way trailheads.

I'm coming to stay with you on a Monday-Wednesday, where will I eat?

We have several restaurants in town and a short drive away.
There is at least 1 restaurant open each day.
Breakfast is always provided, 7-days a week.

Can I bring my board, skis or bike into my room?
Short answer no. Long answer still no. Feel free to bring in
boots and clothing. We can offer an indoor space for your bikes.

I have dietary restrictions, what's for breakfast?
We can accommodate a wide array of dietary restrictions. During your booking,
or before your arrival, please let us know what your restrictions are so we can plan appropriately.
We offer milk, half and half, and rice milk. Please note, we are a nut-free facility.
Our breakfasts are as filling as they are delicious, with the
best tasting coffee, and wide selection of teas to boot.

We brought our own wine, beer or liquor. Where can we enjoy it?
Your room! Alcohol purchased outside of The INN cannot be consumed
outside of your room while our restaurant is open and serving, it's
against the law and we jeopardize our liquor licenses. You are free
to buy drinks from us and explore The INN for a cozy nook to enjoy them.

I have mobility issues, which rooms do you recommend?
The INN's exterior does not have a ramp, there are a few steps.
The INN's interior and charm can be seen on its 100+ years old floors,
there are several lips and a few steps inside. Rooms 6, 7, and 8 are accessible by a few steps,
and we consider them to be on the ground floor. We can provide shower bars, and a shower stool
upon request.

Do you accept AAA or other discounts?
At this time, we do not.

Are you open 12-months of the year?
Yes. We do take breaks throughout the year. They are scheduled in advance.
We are off for what we call Mud Season, the aftermath of a winter of 300 inches of snow.
We are also off and closed for Stick Season, another Vermont season where the leaves have fallen but no snow.
Mud Season is typically the last week of April-Mother's Day, opening on the Thursday after Mother's Day.
Stick Season is typically Halloween to Thanksgiving.

What Holidays are you open for?
We are open for Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day,
New Year's Eve, some New Year's Day, and President's Week.
We are closed for Super Bowl Sunday, Easter, Mother's Day, and July 4th.

What is there to do in Montgomery Center?

Montgomery Center is home to the most covered bridges in any one town in Vermont,
we have a brochure to guide you to find them all (High clearance vehicle needed for all of them).
The town has a gift shop, a farmer's market in the summer, a salt cave with massage services, rent a bike,
rent some skis or get them tuned, get supplies, beverages, or snacks, get your dance on or some late night fun.
Just 8 miles up the road is Jay Peak-a four season resort with skiing/riding, golf, indoor waterpark and tram rides.
While not in Montgomery, the Canadian Border is just 13 miles away, a slice of Europe awaits.
Check out the staff's pick, Sutton, Quebec.
